Fascinating presentations, professional discussions, and a field trip to the “Stuttgart 21” major construction site

ast week, we were guests in Stuttgart at the 35th BBB Assistants’ Meeting, where research assistants from the departments of Construction Operations, Construction Economics, and Construction Management in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland come together for professional exchange.

As part of the conference program, we had the opportunity to present and discuss current findings from our research projects TimberConnect and ConstructX in two presentations.

  • Lukas Loeb and Ann-Kathrin Ibach on the technical implications of a digital building product passport in timber construction
  • Lukas Krone and Christopher Schwab on the methodology for collecting industry-specific information for the implementation of a data room

The presentations are also included as articles in the conference proceedings.

In addition to the technical presentations and the intensive exchange of ideas, a special highlight was the tour of the major #Stuttgart21 construction site.

Many thanks to the Institute for Construction Management at the University of Stuttgart for the excellent organization - we’re already looking forward to next year!
