BIM in teaching
In order to prepare students of architecture and civil engineering for the challenges of the future in the best possible way, the BIM method has been firmly integrated into the educational concept of the Master's degree programs "Architecture" and "Planning, Building and Operation" at the University of Wuppertal.

Furthermore, the chair offers the opportunity to complete a BIM basic e-learning course. In addition to this e-learning course, the final examination for "Professional Certification - Foundation Basis" can be taken in accordance with the requirements of the VDI/buildingSMART 2552/8.1 "BIM Qualification - Basic Knowledge" guideline at Weiterbildung Wissenschaft Wuppertal gGmbH (WWW-G) as a registered certification body.
The BIMKommunal training course is offered in cooperation with the Ministry of Homeland, Municipal Affairs, Building and Digitization (MHKBD) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is based on the BIM recommendations for municipal building administrations and municipal building management published by the MHKBD.
