BIM user training with blended learning concept
Funding body: Amt für Bundesbau Rheinland-Pfalz (ABB)
Duration: 01/2022-06/2024
As a public client, the federal government is responsible for a large number of construction projects. In order to make their implementation more effective in the long term, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community (BMI) and the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) will introduce the Building Information Modeling (BIM) method for all federal construction projects in coordination with the Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA).
The BIM Office (GS BIM), which is based at the Office for Federal Construction Rhineland-Palatinate (ABB), is responsible for this and acts as the representative of the BMI as the client in the context of the services tendered here. A BIM implementation strategy - the "BIM Master Plan for Federal Buildings" - has already been developed and published. The published document sets out a timetable for the three-stage introduction of the BIM method for federal buildings from 2022. Further measures are then to be implemented based on this. Extensive training measures are required in order to implement the application of the BIM method to be introduced with the BIM master plan. A user training course consisting of four modules with a blended learning concept and an online basic module based on a two-day face-to-face event are planned for this purpose. In order to ensure the practical relevance of the training, a simplified training model is also to be created that can be used for the demonstration of practical examples and exercises. The BIM Institute of the University of Wuppertal was commissioned as consortium leader together with the partners Hochtief Vicon GmbH, AEC3 Deutschland GmbH, Core Digital Engineering GmbH and E3D Ingenieurgesellschaft mbh with the creation and implementation of lots 3 and 4.
