3D laser scanning in existing buildings
Development of a method for capturing building data in existing buildings using 3D laser scanners
Building data can be defined and recorded in a wide variety of ways: Taking the geometric dimensions of a building as an example, there are different ways of recording them. In addition to the classic, analogue recording of building data and (possible) subsequent digitization, there are other approaches to recording building information directly in digital form, for example by using laser scanners or drones. This form of data acquisition is particularly suitable for creating building data models of existing buildings.
As part of the development of a method for capturing building data for existing buildings using 3-laser scanners, a recommendation for action was formulated, which on the one hand provides instructions for creating models and on the other hand deals with the post-processing of the recorded point cloud and transfer to authoring software.
